Atelophobia (the fear of not being PERFECT)

A condition in which an individual exhibits an extreme fear of failing to achieve perfection in any of their actions, ideas, or beliefs.
This highly sensitized and fearful aversion to any type of imperfection in their lives 
can cause people to become highly critical of anything they say or do,
Always fearing that their offerings are flawed and not GOOD EnOUgH.
The atelophobia fear of imperfection goes far beyond wanting to do things as competently as possible

people who develop atelophobia are often highly intelligent and possess many talents and capabilities.
Unlike many people who measure their competency in relation to others with similar talents,
the true atelophobic sets a standard for perfection that is impossible to reach.
Because of this impossible personal standard, 
An individual suffering with this condition will constantly be attempting to:
Refine
Rework
Improve 
something that is already highly regarded by those around them.

The atelophobic is often so scared of failing to measure up that he or she becomes immobilized by the fear and thus,
is unable to complete projects or will not turn them in for fear they are not good enough.
You may feel that you failed and disappointed everyone if they aren't perfect.
A high degree of excitability is often present, 
as well as insomnia and an inability to relax for even a couple of moments.
It makes you always on edge and feels pressure to continue working until perfection is reached. 

you have to come to terms with this irrational fear of failing to achieve perfection 
and find ways to reverse the tendency.

You need to assist your inner self to relax for brief periods. 
though you can restore balance to life 
that does not eliminate the positive aspects of competition or stifle the creativity
Instead, 
the frustration of failing to be perfection is replaced with a sense of accomplishment for a job well done
 that is worthy of admiration by everyone, 
including yourself who envisioned and completed the task.
"Some individuals who have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder fear that they are not doing everything “right”,
OR that they will make some error in their daily routines unless they check and recheck.

Many individuals are unduly concerned with what others think of them 
and hence develop a phobia of imperfection.
Examples of fears of imperfection are talking on the phone, 
going for a job interview, writing in front of others, 
eating in front of others, or speaking in public.

What Causes Atelophobia? 

As is the case with all phobias, the person suffering with Atelophobia has experienced an actual trauma at some time.
That traumatic experience is then automatically and consistently associated with imperfection. 

Maybe this individual believes that nothing less than perfection is acceptable. 

 Whatever the cause, the atelophobic person can experience anxiety and emotional turmoil that is completely disruptive
 to their ability to function. 

What Are the Symptoms of Atelophobia? 

 The symptoms of Atelophobia are individual and will vary from person to person.
 Some people, when confronted with their fear of defect or imperfection,
 may begin to perspire, feel slightly uncomfortable or become nauseated.
 At the opposite end of the spectrum, other people are so severely compromised by this phobia,
 that they may experience paralyzing anxiety and/or panic attacks. 

 Other symptoms of Atelophobia may include:
 * A Dry Mouth 

 * Heightened Senses 

 * Breathlessness 

 * Feeling Dizzy 

 * Muscle Tension 

 * Hyperventilation 

 * Trembling 

 * Rapid Heartbeat 

 * Feeling Out of Control 

 * Feeling Trapped and Unable to Escape 

 * Intense Feeling of Impending Disaster 

The individual realizes that their fear of imperfection is irrational
and is severely compromising their ability to function on a daily basis. 

So how we can get over that, How can Atelophobia Treated? 
(Let us get over any obstracle that may stand in our way to feel comfort with our selves)

 When the fear of defects and imperfection becomes so intense as to disrupt an individual's ability to function,
 there are a number of ways to treat Atelophobia. 

These can include: 

 * Self-help techniques. 

 * Relaxation techniques such as deep breathing. 

 * Accepting the fact that no one is perfect.

You need to trust your self a little bit more, 
to understand that not everything you do have to be perfect
its ok to fail its, ok to do something and its not good or perfect, 
its ok not to know how to de certin things
NO ONE can do everything .. NO ONE will ever be perfect
Love your self and love what you are doing .. 
let the inner person in to react,
You will hit away better results..

talk to your self discuss with it convince your self that you are good enough 
Always seek to go for the BETTER not to the PERFECTION.
